The scenic Crowsnest Pass Golf Club (CNPGC) is a nonprofit public golf club, home to approximately 200 members. Renowned for its breathtaking mountain views, CNPGC features a new layout designed by Gary Browning, opened in 2020, complemented by a modern clubhouse and state-of-the-art maintenance facilities.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, operations, and management of our course and grounds. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Superintendent will lead the turf care team, ensuring the course consistently meets or exceeds CNPGC’s high standards for playability and overall presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Respectfully lead the turf care team, including scheduling, training, monitoring, and evaluating all maintenance personnel.
Manage all physical assets and human resources required to maintain the golf course grounds.
Maintain a field of play that meets or exceeds written maintenance standards.
Implement safety policies and enforce compliance with the safety program for all staff.
Approve expenditures and exercise cost control measures to operate within the approved budget.
Ensure daily golf course setup and coordinate with the pro shop and other team leaders.
Inspect the golf course and related areas to ensure standards are met and adjust management programs as needed.
Maintain accurate and complete records, including payroll, inventory, maintenance procedures, pesticide applications, irrigation schedules, and purchases.
Ensure all property permits, licenses, Alberta REC Lease obligations, and municipal permitting are in place for projects and maintenance operations.
Coordinate and plan tasks with the equipment technician and golf management team.
Provide professional advice and input on projects, maintenance operations, and overall golf club offerings.
Meet regularly with the General Manager to discuss plans, projects, finances, priorities, and strategies.
Attend manager meetings and participate in long-range planning.
Manage seasonal golf course preparations and adapt to challenging mountain weather conditions.
Collaborate with contractors to coordinate maintenance and operations during course construction and project work.
Planning and implementing grow-in programs for new course features.
Assets Managed
The Superintendent will oversee the management and maintenance of:
Greens, tees, bunkers, fairways, and rough.
Practice areas and facilities.
Maintenance yard and buildings.
Paths, roads, parking lots, and drainage systems.
Irrigation system and pumping stations.
Woody and herbaceous plantings.
Clubhouse grounds and course signs.
All buildings on the course, including washrooms, halfway houses, shelters, pump stations, etc.
Course hardware, tools, and maintenance equipment.
Qualifications
We are looking for a hardworking, honest, and organized leader with the following qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate in Turfgrass Management (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Expertise with centrally controlled irrigation systems (Toro experience an asset).
Experience with golf construction and grow-in projects.
Ability to effectively communicate and present themselves professionally.
Strong computer skills, including AI proficiency.
Valid Alberta pesticide applicator’s license and driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work hands-on in challenging outdoor conditions.
Working Conditions
Evening, early morning, and weekend hours may be required.

This is a seasonal, full-time position with the potential for professional growth in golf course agronomy and irrigation management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the golf course irrigation system.
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, and control systems.
Assist in system programming and scheduling to ensure efficient water use.
Monitor and adjust water distribution for optimal turf health.
Participate in golf course renovation projects, including new irrigation system installations and upgrades.
Operate and maintain irrigation-related tools and machinery.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, system modifications, and water usage.
Assist with general golf course maintenance as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in golf course irrigation, landscaping, or turf management preferred.
Experience with Toro irrigation systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge of irrigation system design, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
Construction and installation experience is an asset.
Ability to read and interpret irrigation system maps and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Technician to assist in maintaining the health and playability of our golf course. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides to ensure optimal turf conditions. This is a seasonal, full-time position with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in golf course agronomy and turf management.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf care products according to golf course needs and environmental regulations.
Monitor turf conditions and identify issues such as disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.
Maintain detailed records of all chemical applications and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
Operate and calibrate spray equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and hand-held applicators.
Assist with general golf course maintenance, including mowing, aerating, and irrigation when necessary.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in turf management, landscaping, or golf course maintenance preferred.

Since 1920, Crowsnest Pass Golf Club (CNPGC) has offered spectacular mountain golf in a relaxed atmosphere. The Club has just completed an exciting renovation project including 13 new golf holes, irrigation system, practice facilities, clubhouse, and maintenance facilities. Planning for the renovation of the remaining holes is underway and this work will be scheduled over the next 5-10 years. CNPGC is committed to providing excellent playing conditions and good value to our members and guests, with a respectful and enjoyable workplace for our staff.
We are currently seeking Grounds Maintenance Technicians to join our team. Reporting to the Superintendent, the Grounds Maintenance Technicians are the primary caretakers of the golf course that perform a wide variety of tasks. Tasks range from the operation of light equipment to manual maintenance and construction tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment operation such as light utility vehicles and mowers.
Manual labor such as digging, edging, weeding, raking etc.
Work proficiently under the direction of supervisors, and complete assigned tasks within given time limits.
Work safely and take care of machinery and tools
At the conclusion of the work period, clean up tools and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Physically fit being able to handle manual labour.
Lifting 50+ Lbs
Grounds crew should be willing and equipped to work in all types of weather.
Valid class 5 driver’s license
Reliable transportation to the golf club.
All grounds crew must be able to work weekends.
The ability to drive a manual transmission is an asset but not a requirement.
Positive Attitude – Ability to work in a team atmosphere

Bartender
Duties and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The bartender will provide exceptional service to golfers and guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience at the golf course's bar. This position involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing friendly, professional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and offer friendly, attentive service.
Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to golf course standards.
Take customer orders, ensure accuracy, and provide menu recommendations.
Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stocked.
Handle cash and credit transactions, accurately processing payments.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Communicate effectively with fellow team members, kitchen staff, and management.
Assist with event setups and breakdowns as needed for tournaments or special events.
Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and addressing guest needs.
Monitor inventory, inventory counts and report low stock levels to management.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience, preferably in a golf course, country club, or similar setting.
Knowledge of drink recipes, bartending techniques, and responsible alcohol service.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced environment with high interaction with customers, golf course guests, and staff.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons
Estimated Contract Length: 8 months
